An Investigation Into the Effect of Concentration on the Rate of Reaction Aim: I am going to investigate the effect of changing the concentration of a solution on the rate of reaction. I think that the more concentrated the reactants, the greater the rate of reaction will be, because if the concentration of the reactants increased the number of collisions between the molecules would also increase and thus the rate of reaction would increase as well. Weaker solutions have fewer molecules; there would be fewer collisions so the rate of reaction would go down. You would expect a faster reaction to take less time. The temperature in the experiment will be kept constant right the way through the experiment because for a fair test only one quantity changes at a time. Reaction Sodium + Hydrochloric Sodium + Sulphur + Water + Sulphur thiosulphate acid Chloride Dioxide Or NA2 S2 O3 (AQ) + 2HCL(AQ) 2NACL (AQ) + S(S)...
