Planning * Aim: To investigate the effect that concentration has on the rate of reaction, of this particular reaction: sodium thiosulphate+hydrochloric acid sodium chloride+water+sulphur+sulphur dioxide * Question: What effect does the concentration have on the rate of reaction? Hypothesis I believe that as the concentration gets higher the rate of reaction will also increase, this is because I know that when particles collide with enough energy they separate and react with other particles, consequently when there is more concentration there are more particles present hence there is more of a chance of successful collisions occurring. Equipment List I will be using the following equipment in order to carry out my experiment. * 2X Pipets-in order to equally measure out the amounts of distilled water and Sodium Thiosulphate. * A Conical flask-in order to test the chemicals in. * A piece of card with an "X" on it-in order to when to stop the timer. * 2X measuring cylinders-in...
