PLANNING Nasra Salah 10C Aim: To observe temperature change in Ethanol and Methanol. Introduction (scientific knowledge): ETHANOL Ethanol is an alcohol-based alternative fuel produced by fermenting and distilling starch crops that have been converted into simple sugars. Ethanol ("Alcohol") C2H5OH METHANOL Methanol (CH3OH) is an alcohol fuel. Today a process using natural gas as a feedstock produces most of the world's methanol. (CH3OH) also known as methyl alcohol or wood alcohol, it's a chemical compound with chemical formula (CH3OH). It is the simplest alcohol, and is a light, volatile, colourless, flammable, poisonous liquid that is used as an antifreeze, solvent, and fuel and as a denaturant for ethyl alcohol and it burns in air forming carbon dioxide and water. Nasra Salah 10C Prediction: I predict that Ethanol will be in a higher temperature than Methanol in the time given to investigate the two fuels. Fair Test: To make this investigation a fair test, you're going to have to...
