Carbon Monoxide project work. Carbon Monoxide Can Be Deadly. Recently, a family of 4 were found dead at their home, from carbon monoxide poisoning. Neighbours, of Jeffery Cheetham, his wife Bevery and their sons Christopher and Carl, called police after noticing that curtains at the house had been drawn since Sunday. After officers broke in several overcome by gas and had to be taken to hospital for tests. This proves that carbon monoxide still kills in the 21st century. Its a silent killer. You can't see or smell carbon monoxide, but at high levels it can kill a person in minutes. Carbon monoxide (CO) is produced whenever any fuel such as gas, oil, kerosene, wood, or charcoal is burned. If appliances that burn fuel are maintained and used properly, the amount of CO produced is usually not hazardous.
