An Experiment to Investigate a Factor to see how it Effects how much Copper is Deposited on the Cathode Aim In this investigation, my aim is to find out how time variation can effect the electrolysis from a copper strip attached to an anode, to a copper strip attached to a cathode. Equipment For the experiment I will use the following equipment: ? Spider pack ? 200ml Beaker ? Copper sulphate solution ? 2 strips of copper ? Sandpaper ? Stopwatch ? Safety Glasses & apron Step by Step Method 1. Rub down copper strips using sandpaper. Dip copper strips in to the water and then into the asotone to dry them. Mark one copper strip with a C for Cathode, in pencil, and the other with an A. for Anode. 2. Weigh both strips using the scales. Record the weights. 3.
