Chip write up Aim We were trying to find out what percentage of salt water would make the crispest chip. Variables Some factors, which could have affected our investigation, were; the size of chip we were using, the shape of chip we were using and the amount of water or salt water being used. The amount of salt water or water being used was important because if there was too much salt water, not as much water would be allowed into the chip. If we accidentally added 80% salt water when it was actually meant to be 75% water, we would have ended up with a completely different result altogether. Prediction I predicted that the less water the chip gained, the less the chip would weigh and Oliver predicted the more water the chip gained, the less the chip would weigh. Method Apparatus Beakers - Boiling tube - Pipettes - Chipper - White Tile 10cm2 Scalpel - Boiling Tube Rack - * Set up equipment. * Add 75%...
