Diagram Apparatus * Marble chips * Hydrochloric acid at the following molarities; 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 * Scales * Stopwatch * Delivery tube * Gas syringe * Bung * Conical flask * Clamp and * Clamp stand Safety To ensure that there is maximum safety at all times in the duration of the experiment, an apron should be worn at all times during the experiment. This MUST be accompanied with the wearing of safety goggles. NEVER sit down in the period of the experiment. All stools should be put under the desk, and all books and pencil cases should be put away, leaving the desk empty, except for the apparatus.
