THE EFFECT OF CONCENTRATION Aim To investigate whether or not the concentration of Sodium Thiosulphate with hydrochloric acid, will affect the rate of reaction. PREDICTION I predict that the more higher the concentration of sodium thiosulphate and the more less the concentration of water, the faster the reaction will take place to become cloudy. The reason why I say this is because there will be more sodium thiosulphate particles, which will collide more often. The cross will disappear quickly when concentration of sodium thiosulphate is increased. APPARATUS ==> Conical flask, 250 cm³ ==> Measuring cylinder, 2x50 cm³, 1x10 cm³ ==> Pen ==> Paper ==> Sodium Thiosulphate ==> Hydrochloric acid ==> Water ==> Goggles ==> Stopwatch ==> A cross drawn on a paper METHOD It is important to do the experiment safely. At the start of every experiment I must ensure that goggles are on, in order To make everything go according to plan and not hurt myself by forgetting to...
