Who Cheated on Vinegar? Planning Aim The aim of this experiment is to find out which of the vinegars are diluted by finding their concentrations. Apparatus Burette, conical flask, beakers, indicator, vinegar, pipette, NaOH, distilled water, safety goggles, stand. Method First of all a pipette is going to be used to measure and put the vinegar in the beaker. 15 cm3 of vinegar is going to be used in the experiment. When 15cm3 of vinegar is being measured it is going to be put in a conical flask with 2 drops of phenolphthalein (indicator). Phenolphthalein is an indicator that does not change colour in the acids so when you see a colour change it is easy to spot so you stop at that point.
