Chemistry Coursework Gravestone Investigation Aim I aim to investigate what effect acid rain has on the erosion of Gravestones. Variables There are many variables that may affect the investigation. They are as follows. Temperature - If the experiment is undertaken at different temperatures then the reaction rate may change. Weather - A strong wind or sandstorm could affect the Gravestone by eroding it. Surface Area - The more surface area the quicker the Gravestone will be eroded. Orientation - If the Gravestone is flat then it will not be affected by the wind as much. Material - The type of material the Gravestones are made from may be affected by acid rain differently.
