Determining the Solubility of Calcium Hydroxide Plan The aim of this experiment is to determine the solubility of calcium hydroxide using a sample of limewater solution. I have to design my own experiment and choose an appropriate range of apparatus. I will be provided with a sample of limewater that contains approximately 0.015 mol dm of calcium hydroxide and a solution of hydrochloric acid whose concentration is 0.3 mol dm. The concentration of the hydrochloric acid is too high so it will need to be diluted. Apparatus and chemicals to be used in my experiment are as follows: - 1. Pipette 25cm3 2. Volumetric flask 250cm3 3. Conical flask 250cm3 4. Burette 50cm3 5. Funnel 6. White tile 7. Clamp and stand 8. Indicator (methyl orange) 9. Limewater 10. Hydrochloric acid 11. Distilled water In my experiment I need to react the hydrochloric acid with the limewater in order to find out the concentration of the limewater. Acid + Metal Hydroxide ==> Salt + Water Hydrochloric Acid...
