Determining the Concentration of Limewater Plan In my experiment I will be finding the concentration of a sample of limewater in gdm-3. I must devise my own experiment and choose a range of equipment and apparatus to use. I will also have to choose a suitable indicator. I will be provided with 250cm3 of limewater, which I know has a concentration of around 1gdm-3 of calcium hydroxide. I will also be provided with some hydrochloric acid which has a concentration of exactly 2.00moldm-3. This is much too concentrated so I need to dilute it with distilled water to precisely the concentration I require. The apparatus and chemicals I will use are as follows: * Pipette (25cm3) * Volumetric flask (500cm3) * Graduated Pipette (10cm3) * Conical Flask (250cm3) * Burette (50cm3) * Pipette Filler * White paper * Clamp Stand * Methyl Orange Indicator * Limewater (250cm3 containing approximately 1gdm-3 of calcium hydroxide) * Hydrochloric Acid (standard solution: concentration is exactly 2.00moldm-3) * Distilled...
