An investigation of the rate of reaction between Sodium Thiosulphate solution and Dilute Hydrochloric acid. What I am trying to find out is that if the reaction time increases when the concentration of Thiosulphate is at different volumes. Method To insure that my experiment is a fair test I will not use the same measuring cylinders for the Hydrochloric acid and the Sodium Thiosulphate. The total volume of my experiment will be 60cm³, in that there will always be 10cm³ of Hydrochloric acid this will stay the same through out the experiment and then the other 50cm³ will be a concentration of the water and Sodium Thiosulphate. 1) Poor the Thiosulphate solution into a conical flask 2) Put the conical flask on the paper with the black cross 3) Then add the Dilute Hydrochloric acid and start the stop watch 4) When you can no longer see the black cross stop the stop watch...
