Kedisha Scott Science Coursework An investigation into the affect of concentration on rate of a chemical reaction. I am going to investigate into the affect of concentration on the rate of a chemical reaction. The chemical formula for this experiment is: NA2 S2 O3 + 2HCL 2NaCL + H2O + SO + S. My prediction when you mix the Hydrochloric Acid with the Sodium Thiosulphate it will turn milky or a different colour, to produce a gas. This could be because the sulphur is precipitated. I think this might happen because a reaction rate depends on concentration. In solution of higher concentration and in gases at higher pressure, particles are closer together. They have greater chance of colliding, because there are more collisions, the reaction rate is greater. Low concentration High concentration The diagrams shows that if the concentration of the sodium Thiosulphate Solution is low then there are only a few collisions between particles. If...
