A chance of a Lifetime Robert is just 10 years old, he has to walk 8 miles for water everyday. That is further than we have to drive to get to the nearest local swimming pool or local swimming pool or luxury health spa. Robert and his family struggle daily to cope with such little water. Robert lives in Somalia in Africa, with his parents and 2 little sisters. Roberts gets up everyday before the break of dawn to begin the exhausting hike, thus engaging in the daily battle for survival. The walk to the nearest stream takes around 4 hours. It would be so easy for Robert to have a lie in one day, or take a rest on his walk, but he knows that if he doesn't return with the water his family so desperately needs, then he will put their life in danger.
