Introduction I am writing a report which will highlight the major difficulties which face Eurotunnel in 2004. After illustrating the major difficulties, I will then give some suggestions as to some of the management tools and techniques which Eurotunnel should use, in undertaking a radical restructuring of the business. Then I will evaluate the practical limitations of the tools and techniques I have suggested. There are three different major difficulties that face Euro tunnel in 2004. The first difficulty is increasing competition from traditional ferry operators i.e. P & O/ Stennaline. The second difficulty is high access charges are putting consumers and businesses off from using the channel tunnel. The third reason is the increase of low cost and no frills offering cheap return fares to the continent.
