The Human Resources Department (Personnel department) is the department of a business deals with the employees and recruits new employees if needed. The main functions of a human resources department are: · Planning · Recruitment (including selection) · Discipline · Training · Appraisal · Staff welfare · Health and Safety. They have to make sure that the workplace is safe and if there are any accidents the employees report them appropriately. They also have to make sure that induction training is given to new employees.
