COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY IN ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT REPORT FOR VCE Introduction The design process at VCE has now been updated and they have now decided to improve the company's computer technology in engineering management. The areas which the company believe need improving are * Production Control * Stock Control * Sales * Finance These are all important features to run the company smoothly. In this report I find suitable packages which will apply to these management systems. Production Control An ideal package for production control would be Microsoft Project 2000. It has low computer requirements so new equipment will not be needed. The computer needs the minimum of a 75 MHz Pentium processor. It will run off Microsoft Windows 95\98\2000 and the Network Versions. For Windows 95 or 98 25 megabytes of RAM are needed but for 2000 or Network Version 40 megabytes and 50 megabytes of hard disk space are needed and a VGA Monitor and CD ROM.
