BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS AND BEHAVIOR Adam has encouraged his managers to adopt a selling approach to leadership. Selling approach to leadership is where the directors make the decision and this is passed down to the manager and then the workers. When making the decisions with this approach the employees lower down the organization don't have a say. The problem with the selling approach to leadership is that employees would not feel part of the organization and will not be committed to their work. However a democratic management style would suite the organization. The democratic manager allows the employees to take part in decision-making. The employees are consulted and made to feel part of the final decision-making process. This helps to motivate the workforce and also ensures that they are well aware of the objectives of the business and will work hard to achieve them.
