Colombia and other Latin American Countries are suffering from the lack of Economic Development. Colombia is still a developing country which has had many problems along the history, that haven't allowed it to achieve high economic growth percentages during years. However, as it is clearly mentioned in the extract that; "the local conflicts and problems are completely enmeshed with complex global economic, social and political processes", meaning that everything recurs in many issues; and there are several factors which maintain this country in this critical situation. As we know, the economic development depends on many indicators, which as a whole reveal the more accurate statistics for the country. These include; population growth, birth rate, death rate, life expectancy, GDP/capita, inflation, unemployment, sanitation, health assistance, types of production, depreciation, freedom rights... It is clearly seen that all of these make up one big section of the economy which consists in the economic development....
