The leading theory regarding the cause of The Great Depression holds that it resulted from the stock market crash in 1929, the vast unemployment and it impact on the Canadian economy and the misdistribution of wealth between people. Evidently the Great depression had caused economic turmoil during the stock market crash of 1929 that had a large impact on the economy of Canada.
