The Anti Bacterial Properties of Plants Aim: The aim of this experiment is to investigate how plants fight infection from bacteria and fungus. Introduction: Plants are inanimate objects. Due to this plants are susceptible to infection from all kinds of different species of bacteria and fungus. Certain plants with antibacterial properties have the ability to inhibit or destroy the growth of certain bacteria. Garlic is the only antibiotic that can actually kill infecting bacteria and at the same time protect the body from the poisons that are causing the infection. Garlic is acknowledged to be as effective as penicillin. Even the blood of garlic eaters can kill bacteria and it is also reported that the vapour from freshly cut garlic can kill bacteria at a distance of 20 cms!! A common and apparently returning disease, tuberculosis was treated with garlic very successfully as the invading organism Mycobacterium tuberculosis is sensitive to several of the sulphur...
