Pollution is the release of damaging chemicals and other harmful substances into the environment. Pollution usually brings damaging and dangerous effects such as endangering the effect of humans and other life forms, interfere with eco-systems and damage structures and buildings. These damaging chemicals and substances are known as pollutants and can be released into different parts of the atmosphere. Air pollution is one example. This happens when gases and particle-matter are allowed into the open air. This changes the 'natural characteristics' of the atmosphere. The atmosphere is a delicate system and its stability is vital for the survival of many life forms. In large cities, since there are plenty of emissions considering the amount of land (and atmosphere surrounding it) it does not take a huge amount for each person to do before, altogether, air quality in the area is greatly affected.
