Introduction Habitat is lost due to the clearing of tropical forest for agriculture, logging, and the collection of fuel wood. This continues to be a major effect on primates, along with the capture of primates for Bushmeat trade. Bushmeat species include Gorillas, and other primates. Hunting for subsistence also is a major and insidious threat, this mostly happens in Africa and Asia. Tropical forest covers a large area, so sadly we cannot stop all hunting from happening to the extinct primates. Mankind is continuing to destroy the natural habitat in many countries and it is still happening today. Without immediate steps to protect these unique creatures and their habitat, we will lose more of our planet's natural heritage forever.
