GCSE SCIENCE COURSEWORK TITLE: What is the effect of sugar solution on potato chips? VARIABLES: The variables are sugar solution, volume used, molar concentration 0m 1m 0.5m 0.25, potato chips, size, weight, number used, time, temperature and the concentration. IMPUT VARIABLES: Molar concentration and the concentration. OUTCOME VARIABLES: Size and weight. CONTROL: Volume used, number used, time and temperature. AIM: My aim is to find out what is the effect of sugar solution on potato chips. PREDICTION: My prediction is that the more concentrated the sugar is the smaller and lighter the potato chips will get. THE SCIENCE IDERS THAT SUPPORT THIS ARE: Each cell is surrounded by a cell membrane. It separates the contents of the cell from the outside.
