What affects the rate of an enzyme reaction? PLANNING I am going to investigate the speed of reaction when pieces of potato or catalase are put into Hydrogen Peroxide (2H2O2).By doing this I will be able to prove what does effect the rate of an enzyme reaction. In order to get the most out of this experiment I will to begin with do some preliminary work to make sure I know what I'm going to do and the items that I will need to identify about the experiment before I start the investigation. The main things that I will need to find out are as follows: 1. The amount of Hydrogen Peroxide to use 2.
