What affects osmosis in plants Outline This investigation is about what affects the rate of osmosis in plant. We will be doing an experiment with different amounts of sugar solutions in seven different beakers filled with the same amount of water. Each beaker will have a stronger solution than the first. We add three potato chips into each beaker and find out what happens to them after a period of time. Equipment Seven beakers - used to put the water and chips into Potato - used to test the affect of osmosis Core borer - pushed into the potato to get equal sized and shaped pieces Water - put into the beaker for osmosis to take place Sugar - put into the beaker to affect osmosis Ruler - use to measure the chips in case of size difference Measuring scales - use to measure the amount of sugar Method First we got seven beakers and poured water into each...
