Variation Of Enzyme Activity With Amount Of Enzyme Present By Sylvia Dale Aim The aim of our experiment was to measure the breakdown of Hydrogen Peroxide (H O ) seeing whether increasing the enzyme actually increased the reaction by investigating the relationship between the amount of enzyme (potato) present and the level of enzyme activity. Apparatus Used Electronic balance, Potato, Stanley Knife and safety cork, White Tile, Hydrogen Peroxide Solution, Stop Clock, Large Measuring Cylinder, Syringe, Ruler (Marked in mm), Pen, Labels, Apron, Goggles, gloves, Sift, 6 test tubes, test tube holder, Soapy Water and Paper Method We made sure we understood the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH); more information can be found at http://www.coshh-essentials.org.uk/. We removed our personal belongings to produce a clear working environment. We put on goggles, gloves and apron (lab coat).
