Plan Aim: To investigate what concentration of sugar solution is isotonic with potato cells. In order to follow out my investigation I will need to use a process called osmosis. Osmosis is an experiment in which molecules move through a selectively permeable membrane from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. My experiment will consist of cutting a potato in eighteen bits of equal size and weight in order to do this I will use piece of apparatus called a chipper chopper. I will then divide the eighteen pieces into sets of three I will do this so I am able to Test each solution three times and get more accurate results. I will weigh each set and have them ready to put into the beakers of solution I will then cut notches in the potato pieces so I can identify which is which. Then we will put the 6 sets of 3...
