Osmosis Investigation Aim: To investigate the effect of time on osmosis Basic Method: I will cut four potato chips the same length. Dry the potato sap from them and then weigh them. I will get four test tubes and place the four potato chips into them. I will make sure I have the same amount of water into each test tube. I will place each chip for a different length of time. I will take the chip out of the water when it is the correct time, dry it and then weigh it to observe if the chip has gained mass or not. Prediction: I predict the longer the chip will remain in the water the more mass it will gain.
