Osmosis Aim To investigate the effect of changing concentration in a potato cell. Prediction I think that the salt solution (NaCl) will lose the most because it has a lower concentration of water than is inside the potato cell and the Distilled Water (H2O) will gain the most as it has a higher concentration of water than is inside the potato cell. It will apply to this rule: - The lower the Morality the Higher the concentration of water. Scientific Background Osmosis is the movement of water from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration through a selectively permeable membrane.
