Biology GCSE Coursework Investigation into the affects of enzyme concentration on an enzyme controlled reaction Introduction In this investigation I intend to investigate how the concentration of enzyme will affect the rate of reaction on an enzyme controlled reaction. There are other aspects that I could investigate like the temperature, pH and pressure. I decided not to do any of these because they would all have their own complications and I it is because of this that I decided I would do the concentration of enzymes. For this experiment I will use hydrogen peroxide and the enzyme catalase reaction. I chose these because catalase works very fast so the affects would be easily visible. Catalase in an enzyme found in potatoes and the human liver. It is a catabolic enzyme, which breaks down the very harmful hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. When using hydrogen peroxide I must take safety precautions, as it...
