Paul Blakeway 10Y Investigating one factor which affects the reaction between peroxidase in potato and Hydrogen Peroxide In this experiment there are many variables we can change. The main ones are: -Temperature -Enzyme concentration -Substrate concentration -PH value I have chosen to test enzyme concentration by adding different amounts of potato to the Hydrogen Peroxide. Prediction I predict that with the higher the enzyme concentrations, the amount of gas released will be greater Method 1. Set up apparatus as shown. 2.Measure out amounts of Hydrogen Peroxide and Potato accurately. 3.Clear work area of obstructions to make your work safer. This includes: Clearing desk of all unnecessary equipment, moving bags, coats and stools and wearing goggles to protect your eyes, carrying equipment safely to prevent spillage or breakage and cutting and boring directly onto a tile to prevent cutting hands. 4. Make sure that the gas syringe is reading 0cm3. 5. Add the Hydrogen peroxide with the potato to the conical flask and replace rubber...
