Biology Coursework- Enzymes Background information: Aim: The aim is to investigate the effects of a named variable or the action of the enzyme trypsin. Prediction: The factors which will affect the enzyme trypsin are the amount of water you put in, the temperature and the amount of trypsin you put in. I will be investigating the effects of trypsin at a variable temperature. I predict that the enzymes will work best at body temperature because our body stays at our temperature 37°C. The enzymes in our body have been adapted to work best at this temperature. I predict that the enzymes will denature at about 90°C. This is because the enzymes get unstable and then stop working. I predict that the enzymes will not work best at a low temperature as enzymes need at least 40°C in temperature to work. I predict that the temperature goes past body temperature the rate of the trypsin will decrease....
