ACTIVITY OF AN ENZYME EXPERIMENT Aim: to investigate the action of the enzyme 'catalase'. By testing the different states of the potato (when the potato is in uncooked pieces, after it has been boiled, and after it has been ground) we are testing how efficiently the enzyme will react, or whether it will react or not. Hypothesis: that the enzyme 'catalase' in uncooked potato will react with the hydrogen peroxide, and result in water and oxygen. When the potato is cooked, the enzyme will denature and thus not react with the hydrogen peroxide.
