PLANNING I am going to investigate the procedure of osmosis by placing slices of potato in water with different volumes of sugar. The variables I used in my investigation are the sugar content in the water, the length, and the weight of the potato slices. I hope to collect the weights and lengths of the potatoes at the end of the investigation as my variable. For this experiment, I will be using test tubes for the water solutions and potato slices. To keep these test tubes safe, I will keep them in a test tube rack. I will have to use a ruler to measure the lengths of the potato slices. I will also be using a set of electronic scales to weigh the potato slices before and after the experiment.
