Equipment & Method Here is a list of equipment we used in our experiment: * Cork Borer * Delivery Tube * Bung * Scalpel * Measuring Cylinder * Hydrogen Peroxide * Beaker * Test Tubes * Cutting Mat * Stop Watch Diagram Method 1. Set up the experiment as shown in diagram above. 2. Put 20cm3 of hydrogen peroxide in to a test tube. 3. Place a 3cm piece of potato into the test tube, mixed in with the hydrogen peroxide. 4. Place a bung into the test tube. 5. Start the stop watch. 6. Time for 3 minutes. 7. Record you results, volume of oxygen produced. 8. Change the surface area of the potato (number of cuts) 9. Repeat steps 1-6 *note when you cut the potato cut into 3 pieces 3cm3. Prediction & Reasoning Prediction As we make more cuts in the potato we have more enzymes being released and more oxygen will be released.
