How Different Sucrose Solution Affects The Rate Of Osmosis In A Potato Chip. Aim: To find out how different concentrated sucrose solution affect the rate of osmosis on a potato chip. Introduction: Osmosis is the movement of water molecules across a partially permeable membrane from areas of high water concentration to areas of low water concentration. Hypothesis: I will be using a potato chip to do this investigation, I will use 5 different percentage of sucrose solution, 0% 2% 6% 12% 20%. Each percent will affect the weight and size of the potato chip; they will make the weight and size increase. I predict that the lower the level of concentration in the sucrose solution the length and weight will increase and the higher the concentration the length and weight will decrease because as the concentration gets higher the molecules in the solution gets larger so they cannot get through the cell membrane but the...
