Experiment to investigate reaction Catalase Aim: I want to find out what will speed up the reaction H2O2›O2+2H20. Factors: The factors of my experiment which could affect what happens in my investigation are; Temperature, amount of potato catalase, amount of concentration of hydrogen peroxide, time, amount of fairy liquid used and sunlight or darkness. The investigation: In order to make sure it is a fair test I am only going to change one factor which is the amount of potato catalase used. I will keep all the other factors the same in each test tube. My prediction: In my investigation I think the rate of reaction will increase the more potato catalase used. I think this because of my scientific knowledge of how an enzyme works and how reactions speed up.
