ENZYME PRACTICAL Planning Hypothesis During my investigation I predict that there will be significant difference in the amount of reaction that takes place in the test tubes. I expect this because high acidic and alkaline conditions denature the enzyme, so I can therefore say that in the high PH solution the enzymes will not work very well and it will also not work well at the low PH concentrations. I can also say that catalyse activity will increase as the temperature increases up until an optimal point. At this point, as with most other variables it will either stay at this point or activity will fall. I predict, that the better conditions for enzyme catalysis will be around a PH of 7 (neutral), I just think this because water (which is neutral) makes up a large proportion of living things. Apparatus In my experiment I am going to need a range...
