An Investigation to determine the effect different concentrations on osmosis in a Potato For the experiment I will need to get the right shape of the potato and use the same size of that shape to keep the surface area the same and also keep that the same in each of the experiments to keep it a fair test. So I will get a cork borer and make cylindrical shaped potato pieces. Then I cut off the ends of the potato. I will also measure the length of the potato to 3cm I am going to cut the size of the potato first and then I will put the solution in until it covers the potato. I will measure out just enough solution just to cover the potato chip and this should be about 20 ml. I will cut eight potato chips for the experiment and use the same amount of solution....
