An investigation to determine the effect of different sugar solutions on the turgor of potato tissue Method I will get a series of potatoes from the same batch and of similar size, I will then push a number 4 or number 5 cork borer into the potato, the size of the borer will be kept the same during the experiment to keep the test fair. I will collect 18 cylinders of potato. I will the cut the down to the same size of 50mm accurately. I will then prepare 18 test tubes, in three of them I will have water (sugar solution molar 0) and three 0.2 molar sugar solution, three 0.4, three 0.6, three 0.8 and three of 1 molar.
