An Experiment to Find Out How the Concentration of Salt in a Solution Affects the Mass of a Potato Through Osmosis Aim The aim of this experiment is to find out how different concentrations of salt solution affect the weight of pieces of potato when they are left in the solutions for 24 hours. This is to investigate osmosis. Variables In this experiment, I could change the concentration of the salt solution, the size of the pieces of potato, the temperature of the solution, or the amount of time the pieces of potato are in the salt solution for. Another variable is the state of the potato cells. I will change the concentration of the salt solution that the potato pieces are in. I will keep the other variables the same. I will keep them the same by making sure I do several things. I will do this by measuring each...
