An Experiment To Show The Effect Of Osmosis on Potato chips in a sugar solution. Planning Aim To show how different concentrations of sugar solutions affect osmosis in the potato chips. Prediction I predict that as the amount of sugar in the solution increase, the amount of water moving in or out of the potato will change. I think that a solution of just water will make the potato increase in weight. And a solution of high sugar will make the potato decrees weight. I think this will happen because water will move in to the potato, as it is less dense than the sugar solution. Fair test To create a fair test certain aspects of the experiment will have to be kept the same whilst one variable is changed. I have chosen to vary the concentration of the Sugar solution. For the purpose of my experiment I am going to carry out all the experiments...
