The body may cope with only one liver or kideny for example, or even with no livers ( however the paitent must use a dialysis mahcine) but if the heart had to stop for just a few minites it's owner would case it egsist. Smoking causes proven direct damage to the heart and kills millions worldwide each year. And yet millions of people do not seem to care about statistics or sientific evidence and carry on smoking maybe beliving that no harm will come thier way.
