Pig heart boy by Malorie Blackman Essay by Gregor Baird Recently in class I have read the novel "Pig Heart Boy" by Malorie Blackman. In this essay I will show how the main themes are presented & developed in this story. The novel is set in the twentieth century in London and tells the story of a boy who had a heart problem & the only way to resolve this would be for the boy to receive a pigs heart but there were a lot of people who didn't agree with it, when they found out after telling Cams best friend. Within a short period the story was sold to the newspaper and the secret was out. In my opinion the main themes in this novel are Xenotransplants, communication & coping with illness.
