Investigation of what affects the pulse rate. PLANNING: Variables: Factors that I can think of that will affect your pulse rate: * Exercise. * When you are scared, nervous, excited or alert. * When you suffer an asthma attack. * Drugs. * When you feel cold. * When you take stimulant. I.e.: coffee or tea. * Heart disease. * Low oxygen level places. I.e.: high mountains. Aim: To investigate how exercise will affect your pulse rate and why. Prediction: I think if I do some exercise, then I will increase the amount of my pulse pumping, and that's because your lungs are taking in more oxygen as you are breathing in quicker during doing exercises beforehand. And that's because your muscles need more oxygen from the lung in order to act properly, and that's because our body needs oxygen to make energy, and our muscle needs energy to work.
