Investigating the factors affecting heart disease There are many types of heart disease that people can get but some are in a higher risk group than others.the most common heart diease if coronary heart disease. Some heart diseases can occur just by the inevitable. As people get older they are in a higher risk group of getting some heart disease like coronary artery disease. Coronary artery disease or CAD for short is when vessels have a blockage in them. This process is called "arteriosclerosis" or more simply "hardening of the arteries". The blockage of the arteries occurs when cholesterol as other fats are deposited in the arteries which narrows the passage for the blood to flow.
