Introduction As a part of my coursework, I have been asked to monitor the heart rate of a person before and after a certain length of exercise. And see how much of a difference it makes on their heart rate. I have found the heart rate of a human adult varies from 150 beats per minute. Whereas in young children the heart rate averages about 60 B.P.M. Prediction From what scientific knowledge I know I am predicting that the rate of respiration in the body will increase as a result of exercise. I also think that there will be a gradual increase in the heart rate to begin with, but then will increase quite dramatically as the body if forced to work harder.
