Introduction There are many factors in the body and in the bodies surrounding environment that can have an effect on the heart rate, increasing or decreasing the speed of it. Some of these factors are listed below: * Body position Age * Exercise Diet * Fitness Weight/size/height * Hormones/stress Drugs I have chosen to investigate the impact of the factor body position on the heart rate. This is because it is easily monitored and there are less unwanted variables involved that could effect my results negatively. In my experiment I will use ten participants to collect my results. I will get the participants to assume different body positions and for a recorded amount of time (one minute) will count how many times their heart beats. The four positions I will use are : Sat down Stood up Sat upside down Lying down Using many different positions in the experiment will allow me to determine why the heart rate changes as I can see...
